Dr Viji Susarla Dr Viji has been
in Clinical Psychology practice since 1995.
She has been trained in several treatment modalities including
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Depth Oriented Therapy,
Solution Focused Therapy, Systemic Therapy, EMDR. As an Assistant Director of the Institute
for Yoga & Consciousness (Research Wing), She earned her Ph
D from Dr Viji
specializes in Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Attention Deficit Disorders, Pain
Management, Cross Cultural Therapy and Cognitive Rehabilitation &
Behavioral management services for persons with Traumatic Brain Injury and
Stroke. She provides individual,
group, marital and family therapy. Dr Viji’s approach to therapy is informed by the person
seeking help and the problems at hand.
She strongly believes that awareness, curiosity, openness to feedback,
solution focus and goal orientation lead to effective management of disorders
and development of Self. Dr Viji founded SITA in 1996.

Dr
Szu-Ning Lai Dr Lai earned her doctorate in clinical
psychology (2007) and a certificate in substance abuse counseling (2007) from
Adler School of Professional Psychology, Illinois. Dr Lai has worked with a variety of populations
and disorders, including brain injured patients, forensic population, chronic
pain patients, chronic mentally ill patients, adults, adolescents, and
children. She provides psychotherapy and specializes in providing
psychological evaluations for determining spinal cord stimulator trials for
patients with chronic pain. Dr Lai has been working at SITA
since
2008. |

Christopher
Lubawski Chris received a Masters of Arts in Professional
Counseling from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Chris is a Licensed Clinical Professional
Counselor in the state of His approach to therapy is to focus on understanding each person as an individual in their unique environment, in order to assist them in reaching their goals. Chris has been working at SITA
since
2005. |

Elizabeth
Wasserman Liz began her career in social services in
1994. After working in a crisis nursery and at a non-profit agency as
an independent living case manager, she obtained her MA in Professional
Counseling from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. Liz is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
in the state of Liz approaches her clients with compassion,
blending traditional psychodynamic therapy and cognitive-behavioral
techniques. Liz uses a holistic framework, specializing in meditation,
mind-body therapies and energy work. Liz has been a Counselor at SITA
since
2005. |

Arjun Lakshmipathi Arjun
received his Master's in Art Therapy from Adler School of Professional
Psychology, Illinois. Arjun
believes that we all are creative beings and create our own sense of reality.
He approaches therapy with a goal to help clients reevaluate and rediscover
themselves through creative expression. Arjun
has been working at SITA since 2007.

Stacey
Lefing Stacey received her MS in Psychology from
Illinois Institute of Technology where she specialized in Rehabilitation
Psychology . She is currently pursuing
her doctorate (PsyD) at the Chicago School of
Professional Psychology. Stacey is a Licensed Professional Counselor in
the state of Stacey is experienced in providing assessment and
treatment for individuals with chronic pain, and has worked with people with
a broad range of mental health concerns.
She uses a humanistic approach when working with clients, while using psychodynamic
and cognitive-behavioral techniques Stacey has been working at SITA since 2007. |

Melissa
Govier Melissa received her Masters in Social Work from Melissa specializes in integrating humanistic and
existential approaches in psychotherapy which involves helping individuals
find renewed meaning in their lives while facilitating empowerment. Melissa has been at SITA as
an extern for the 2009-2010 period. |

Teresa Battrum Teresa
is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at the Adler
School of Professional Psychology with a certificate in Neuropsychology and Adlerian Psychotherapy. Teresa
has a passion to work with undeserved populations and those with neurological
deficits. Teresa has experience
working with forensic population, brain injured population, adolescents,
children and those with chronic mental illness. She believes in approaching her work with
an open mind and flexibility to ensure the best services are provided for
each individual client, but typically uses cognitive-behavioral and Adlerian orientations. Teresa
has been at SITA as an
extern for the 2009-2010 period. |

Christine Reyes Christine
graduated from the School of Hard Knocks, but chose to remain a student at
the With over 20
years of experience in Office Management, Christine came from the Banking
Industry. She manages the
administrative side of SITA
besides assisting the Clinical Staff and patients as needed. Christine has
been with SITA
since 2008. |
